dear praha (prague):

i am very sorry to say, but you have been a disappointment to me. yes, i realize that my expectations were probably unrealistically high. but after years of people talking you up…how could they not be?!? i have dreamed of visiting you ever since freshmen year when i lived in the dorm with those two prague girls (my czech-mates).

Sure, your people jaywalk and you have some cool architecture…but so does every city in europe. i even stayed far from the center, among porn shops and thai massage parlors to avoid your crowds of gaggling tourists flocking to your castle, but found no solace.

Maybe no city could have shaken my mood after my super-douchebag encounter (see previous post)…but alas, praha, you could have tried harder.

So, Praha, what I am trying to say is…sorry that you weren’t cooler; i will give you a second chance after all of the foreigners in your overpriced city thrust themselves on some poor baltic capital!

c’est la vie!

lauren
